The Bone Tower
The Bone Tower is formed not, as its acolytes would have others believe, from the bones of its enemies, but from an enormous collection of ivory. Built on the site of a mammoth graveyard in the unusually frosty mid-western isles, it gleams white above the frozen tundra and is one of the most fearsome places in the entire world. Ruled by Bonemaster Sauvar, the Bone Tower is dedicated to sorcery to such a degree that even the naturally magical elves are fearful of its spellcasters’ magical skill and power. It is also the lone bastion of necromantic magic in the world since the Fall of the Veshadiin, when other necromancy followed its users from the world. The lands of the Bone Tower are frozen, corpse-and-bone-riddled wastelands, and few travelers dare the trails that connect its scattered settlements and towns.
The Frozen Gate:
After the first few near-endless undead assaults on the Gold Tower, elves outside the Bone Tower began to wonder where these legions were coming from. A joint expedition of the Blue and Green Towers soon found the answer: A massive portal, formed between two enormous ice hills, through which entered strange spirits that quickly formed bodies of bone under the direction of Bone acolytes. Further study was prevented by the arrival of Sauvar, who took to the battlefield personally for the first and only time, and drove the expeditions back from what appears to be the source of much of his power.
